Centratech Technical Services Ltd was established in 1992 as a full service fire extinguisher service shop. We started with the original two owners and started to grow from there. We provided services for portable fire extinguishers, high pressure hydrostatic testing, high pressure breathing air, fire suppression systems for restaurants and off road vehicles, and both co2 and N2 cartridge recharging.
Within the first year we recognized the need for a full service fire and safety company. We started to add services as we grew. We first added breathing apparatus servicing and then gas detection services. We also began renting both breathing apparatus and gas detection equipment. We also added our first portable service truck for fire extinguishers.
The next step towards the full service company was the addition of the fire alarm, sprinkler systems, and backflow prevention testing services. This allowed us to complete all the annual inspection requirements for public, industrial and commercial buildings. Our customers could now deal with a single supplier to have all the annual inspections completed as per the Alberta Fire Code.
Our oilfield, industrial and fire department customers have since requested the addition of breathing air compressor servicing and fit testing so that we can also provide them with a single provider for the services that they require.
We are now a company that is capable of servicing all of our customers fire and safety needs. We have grown to a staff of 18 people and 13 service vehicles operating out of Red Deer, Alberta. We will soon be opening a second full service shop in Northern Alberta which will allow us to continue to meet our customers growing needs for a full service company across Alberta.
We would like to thank all of our customers for their continued support and loyalty to Centratech. We will continue to strive to provide the best possible service and equipment for our continued growth in the fire and safety industry.
